Vaganan's Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Vaganan. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our online bus ticket booking platform and services.
1. Account & Personal Information
- Provide Accurate Information: Users must enter correct details (name, contact number, email ID, etc.) while booking. Vaganan is not responsible for issues arising due to incorrect information provided by the user.
- Secure Account Credentials: Users should keep their login details confidential. Vaganan will never ask for OTPs, passwords, or sensitive information.
- Update Profile Details: Ensure that contact details are up to date to receive booking confirmations and alerts.
- Users must be at least 18 years old to use Vaganan services. Minors should be accompanied by an adult during travel.
2. Booking & Payment Responsibilities
- Verify Booking Details: Users must double-check travel dates, time, seat selection, and boarding/dropping points before confirming the booking.
- Use Secure Payment Methods: Payments should be made through authorized channels (credit/debit cards, UPI). Vaganan is not responsible for issues due to third-party payment failures.
- Save Booking Confirmation: Users must keep a copy of the e-ticket and payment receipt for reference.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Check Refund Rules Before Booking: Cancellation charges and refund timelines vary by operator. Vaganan is not liable for refunds if users fail to review the policy before booking.
- Cancel Only Through the Vaganan App: Cancellations done directly with bus operators may not be eligible for refunds.
- Track Refund Status: If eligible for a refund, users should monitor their transactions through the app. Vaganan is not responsible for delays in refunds caused by bus operators or payment gateways.
4. Boarding & Travel Responsibilities
- Arrive on Time: Users must reach the boarding point at least 15-30 minutes before departure to avoid missing the bus. Vaganan is not responsible for missed buses due to late arrival.
- Carry Valid ID Proof: Some bus operators require government-issued photo ID proof for verification before boarding.
- Follow Operator's Travel Policies: Passengers must adhere to seat assignments, luggage limits, and safety guidelines.
- Pets Are Not Allowed: Passengers cannot carry pets on board any bus booked through Vaganan.
- Bus Operators Are Not Obligated to Wait: The bus will depart as per the scheduled time, and operators are not required to wait for late passengers. No refunds will be provided for missed buses due to late arrival.
- Carrying or Consuming Liquor is Strictly Prohibited: Passengers are not allowed to carry, consume, or be under the influence of alcohol or any intoxicating substances while traveling. Violators may be denied boarding or asked to leave the bus without a refund.
5. Safety & Conduct Guidelines
- Avoid Sharing Booking Details: Users should be cautious of fraudulent calls/emails claiming to modify bookings. Vaganan will never ask for sensitive information over calls or messages.
- Respect Fellow Travelers: Passengers must maintain proper behavior during the journey. Any misconduct may result in action by the bus operator.
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited inside the bus.
- Passengers must wear seatbelts (if provided) for their safety.
6. Communications & Notifications
- Transactional Communications: By booking through Vaganan, you consent to receive SMS, emails, and other electronic communications regarding your booking, travel updates, and service information.
- Mobile Number & Email Verification: Valid contact information is required to complete bookings and receive important travel updates. Vaganan may verify your mobile number through OTP or other means.
- Marketing Communications: You may receive promotional offers and updates. You can opt out of marketing communications, but operational communications about your bookings will still be sent.
- Communication Timing: Service notifications may be sent at any time, including during night hours for urgent travel updates like delays or cancellations.
7. Data Processing & Third-Party Services
- Third-Party Processing: Your information may be shared with third-party service providers including payment gateways, SMS services, email providers, and bus operators to fulfill your booking and provide travel services.
- Payment Information: Payment details are processed through secure payment gateways. Vaganan does not store your complete payment information such as card numbers.
- Data Storage: Your booking details and travel history may be stored for operational, legal, and service improvement purposes.
8. Legal & Ethical Usage
- Use the App for Personal & Legal Purposes Only: Misuse of promo codes, unauthorized account access, or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension or legal action.
- Do Not Book for Resale: Reselling booked tickets for profit is strictly prohibited.
9. Luggage Policy
- Passengers can carry luggage within the permitted limit, usually 10 kg per passenger.
- Extra luggage may be charged additionally.
- Restricted items like flammable substances, explosives, sharp objects, and illegal goods are strictly prohibited.
- The operator is not responsible for loss/damage of personal belongings; passengers should ensure their valuables are safely stored.
10. Bus Delays & Cancellations
- Operators are not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather conditions, or mechanical failures.
- In case of cancellations initiated by the operator, passengers may be offered an alternative trip or a full refund.
- No compensation is provided for consequential losses (missed flights, hotel bookings, etc.) due to bus delays.
11. Policy Changes
Vaganan reserves the right to modify, update, or change these policies at any time without prior notice. Users are responsible for reviewing the latest terms and conditions before making any bookings. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance of the updated policies.
12. Disclaimer
- Vaganan acts only as a ticket booking platform and is not responsible for errors made by users, service failures by operators, or payment gateway issues.
- Users should carefully read operator policies before booking.
- Vaganan is not liable for any losses due to travel disruptions, delays, or cancellations by the operator.
- Bus operators are not liable for accidents, injuries, or natural calamities that may occur during the journey.
